How It Works

As a Chiller:

1. Hot refrigerant discharges heat to the air via a condenser coil.
2. Liquid refrigerant passes through a capillary tube, reducing pressure.
3. Refrigerant absorbs heat from water in the evaporator, cooling the water.
4. Refrigerant is re-compressed to restart the cycle.

As a Heat Pump:

1. Refrigerant absorbs heat from ambient air in the evaporator.
2. Compressed refrigerant's temperature rises, heating water in the exchanger.
3. Heat transfers from refrigerant to water; refrigerant cools and condenses.
4. Condensed refrigerant recirculates to repeat the cycle.
